Tucked into the heart of Avid Property Group’s Amara development, Amara Active Park sits within a neighbourhood designed for lasting connection, where 40% of the landscape is reserved for nature and open space. This play space is more than a community asset. It’s a statement of identity, inspired by native flora and shaped by the surrounding environment.

Project Overview

Designed by the talented team at CUSP, the Amara Active Park playground forms part of a broader masterplan that prioritises nature, community and place. The play space sits within a circular sandstone ring, creating an open, natural frame that invites exploration while offering places for parents to gather and observe.

In some settings, clients prefer not to specify timber in-ground due to internal policies or perceived maintenance concerns. While our Rustik range is crafted from true Australian hardwood and remains one of the most durable and long-lasting options available, Rustik M Class provides an alternative to suit this need: offering the same bespoke, nature-inspired design language, reimagined in powder-coated steel.

While steel can never replicate the natural texture or organic variability of timber, it provides a practical solution for clients who want the architectural individuality of Rustik, but need it delivered in a material that meets their standards. With flowing forms, unique layouts and robust finishes, M Class delivers long-term performance without compromising design intent.

The Finished Space

The signature Rustik Tallaganda Hut rises from the centre of the park as both a lookout and a destination. Children ascend via climbing nets and obstacle routes, finding their own way to the top before descending via a twisting tube slide. The elevated play tower doubles as a social hub and a springboard for imaginative games.

Surrounding elements including rubber mounds, a steel swing and quad rider allow for movement and sensory play across ages. A central dry creek bed weaves through the space, connecting play elements, encouraging exploration and tying the playground back into the estate’s landscape language.
