Project Overview

Working closely with JFP Urban Consultants, ADCO Construction and the Queensland Department of Education, PARX designed two distinct playgrounds: one for the junior years, and one for senior students. Every element was chosen for its developmental benefits, adaptability and durability within a busy school setting.

In the junior playground, the standout feature is the Jukebox Tango—a bright, multi-tower play system that combines climbing, sliding and interactive elements above and below deck. Rubber domes dot the space, offering open-ended play, balance challenges and social hangout zones, while a basket swing brings inclusive motion play to the mix.

Across the campus in the senior playground, students find bigger challenges with the Jukebox Breakbeat, featuring an elevated net tunnel and multiple climbing paths. A spaghetti tangle climbing net adds visual impact and is ideal for social, energetic group play.

The Finished Space

Together, the junior and senior play areas offer plenty of variety, giving students endless opportunity for active and imaginative play. Sensory experiences are woven throughout, from the large shaded sandpit with a sand and water play table, to the dry creek bed and water pump. These areas encourage creativity, tactile exploration and collaboration, creating opportunities for inclusive and meaningful play..
