Project Overview
The newly upgraded park re-opened just in time for school holidays, now featuring more shade, more amenity and far more reasons to stay and play. With open green space, toilets and picnic seating, it’s designed to be a natural stop for travellers and a valued destination for the local community.
At the heart of the play space is the Giddy Green play system—a dynamic, multi-level unit suitable for children aged 1 to 10. It offers play across ground, mid and upper levels, including climbing activities, slide access and plenty of variety to support physical development, coordination and confidence.
The Finished Space
A two-bay swing set caters to all users, with toddler, classic and basket seats included. The basket seat is positioned at a transfer-friendly height for wheelchair users and children with limited mobility, supported by rubber softfall for safer, smoother access. Whether lying down, sitting or standing, the swing invites movement and shared play experiences for users of all abilities.
Shaded, accessible and packed with variety, the upgraded Junior Chamber Park play space proves that regional projects can deliver meaningful, inclusive outcomes on a community scale.
