For me, it comes back to creating places where people feel like they belong.
— Nadia Stojan, Senior Design Consultant, PARX

Meet Nadia Stojan, PARX’s Melbourne-based Senior Design Consultant. Discover what she hopes to bring to the PARX team, her approach to play space design, and Nadia’s vision for creating a lasting legacy through the spaces she helps bring to life.
As a Registered Landscape Architect with more than fifteen years of professional experience, Nadia specialises in inclusive design and recreational open spaces, balancing innovation, accessibility and the diverse needs of communities.
At PARX, one of Nadia’s key focuses is expanding the reach of the Rustik range — helping more children, in more communities, experience outdoor spaces designed to inspire curiosity, exploration and a deeper connection with nature.

What was it about PARX that made you want to come on board?
“What really drew me to PARX was the team culture and the willingness to challenge the status quo of traditional playground design. There’s a strong focus on creating innovative, architecturally considered play spaces rather than simply supplying equipment, and that really aligned with the way I like to approach design.
I was also impressed by the breadth of capability across the business, from complex adventure and aquatic play through to the quality Australian timber play spaces in the Rustik range, and the depth of inclusive play knowledge and innovation that the Landscape Structures equipment brings.
When I started seeing the scale and complexity of the projects PARX was delivering, together with the strength of the in-house design and engineering team behind them, I knew it was the kind of team I wanted to be part of. It felt like a place where I could keep learning, contribute my own experience, and work with people who genuinely want to push what’s possible in play.”
When you think about impact, what kind of legacy do you hope your work leaves behind?
“For me, it comes back to creating places where people feel like they belong.
I want the spaces I’m involved in to feel welcoming, joyful and open to everyone, not just accessible, but genuinely inclusive.
If someone can come into a space, feel comfortable being themselves, connect with others and experience a bit of joy through play, then that feels meaningful to me.”
Outside of work, what helps keep you inspired and energised?
“Being outdoors either through walking, jogging or riding my bike in nature tracks.”
And finally, what are you most excited about in your new role?
“I’m excited about sharing what I’ve learned around inclusive play with my network, but even more than that, I’m looking forward to collaborating on some great projects across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
It really comes back to that idea of belonging. I’d love to add value to the projects I’m involved in and help create outdoor play spaces that feel welcoming, joyful and genuinely inclusive. Creating places that leave a positive impact long after the project is finished.”

About Rustik
Proudly designed and manufactured by PARX, Rustik is a premium Australian hardwood timber nature play range built on more than 27 years of recreational innovation. Every element begins with sustainably sourced Ironbark from the Pilliga region of NSW — individually selected, cured and hand-crafted using the same sapwood removal methodology that has kept Queenslander homes standing for over a century. The result is a range that is naturally termite resistant, flood proven and backed by a 15-year structural guarantee.
Made in Australia, for Australia, Rustik is built to last for generations.
